UK Bakers Gain First-Hand Insight at the Radini Experience Centre

A group of UK bakery professionals, industry partners, and media representatives recently visited the Radini Experience Centre in Culemborg, the Netherlands, to learn more about the latest developments in bakery automation. Hosted by Rademaker, the event offered a day of demonstrations, presentations and discussions centred around the company’s compact and modular Radini system.

Among the visitors were members of the Craft Bakers Association, ingredient supplier Lesaffre UK & Ireland, and journalists from British Baker. The aim of the visit was to explore how technology like Radini can support bakeries looking to expand production while maintaining flexibility and product quality.

Demonstrations and discussion

The day began with an introduction from Joris Mulders, followed by a series of live demonstrations. Visitors watched the production of focaccia, batards and Danish pastries on the Radini lines, gaining a close-up view of how the systems manage different dough types and products. The demonstrations highlighted aspects such as scalability, consistency and ease of operation – factors that are becoming increasingly relevant for bakeries looking to grow sustainably.

In addition to the demonstrations, attendees were given a tour of Rademaker’s production facility, where they could see the manufacturing process and discuss design choices with engineers and technical experts. Lunch, featuring products made on Rademaker equipment provided an opportunity for informal networking and further conversation.

Reflections from participants

Feedback from the group was notably positive. Visitors commented on the smooth running of the equipment and the variety of products produced during the demonstrations. The professionalism and enthusiasm of the Rademaker team were also widely noted.

One attendee remarked: “This visit has completely changed my view of Rademaker – it’s clear that they work closely with bakeries to find the right solutions rather than simply supplying machinery.”

Craft Bakers Association President added: “Today’s Radini experience and tour were extremely interesting. The modular design and quality of the products we saw will certainly appeal to members considering how to scale their operations.”

Seeing is believing

As Rademaker Senior Marketer Ronald Hoiting summed up, “Seeing is believing. When people experience what we do – and what we can achieve together – it underlines our goal of being a true partner to bakeries.”

The visit concluded with product testing and discussions about the experiences of the day. With similar demonstrations held regularly for bakeries from around the world, the Radini Experience Centre has quickly become a meeting place for sharing knowledge and exploring practical ways to innovate within the bakery sector.
