August Member of the Month: Fresh Eric’s, Greater London

Fresh Eric’s Cakes has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving business known for its classic cakes and timeless quality.

Nearly 25 years ago, Fresh Eric’s Cakes started life as a part-time home baking business. Inspired by the arrival of their first child and a desire to spend more time together as a family, what began as a way to earn a little “pocket money” soon grew into something much bigger.

Today, that small idea has blossomed into a bakery employing 15 talented team members, crafting cakes, tarts, muffins, and traybakes for both the catering and retail sectors.

Fresh Eric’s has earned a reputation for baking with care, consistency, and skill. Their dedication has attracted some very impressive customers over the years, including Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges, and Whole Foods Market.

Currently, they are proud suppliers to Cook, and their bakes continue to reach new heights—literally. Earlier this year, their signature Victoria Sponges were served at the world-famous Wimbledon Tennis Tournament, a true highlight for the team.

While their products range from indulgent traybakes to elegant tarts, Fresh Eric’s are especially known for their carrot cake—a bake that perfectly sums up their philosophy: focus on getting the classics right, every time.

From those early home-baking days to their position as trusted suppliers for some of the UK’s most recognised names, Fresh Eric’s Cakes have stayed true to their roots - family values, care for every detail, and a love of traditional baking.
