February Member of the Month

The CBA was impressed with Dunns Ltd continuous support and commitment to any projects run within the Craft Baker’s Association. Congratulations!

Dunns bakery is based in Crouch End, North London, with an additional store in Muswell Hill.

Family baker, Lewis Freeman (pictured left) says,

“My family has been baking for 204 years this year, and always in North London.

We have a total of 73 full and part time staff, working across the two sites.

The family business was started in Highgate back in 1820, and moved across different bakeries throughout the 1800 and 1900s, before settling in Crouch End after the second world war.

We have been lucky enough to win a number of awards over the years, most recently Best Baker in London in the National Bakery Awards 2023.

We're most known for our iconic Sausage Rolls and Jam Doughnuts, as well as our fantastic range of sourdough and patisserie.

We offer bespoke wedding and birthday cakes, many customers visit from across the home counties to collect their cakes from us.

Dunns Bakery was the founder of National Doughnut Week, which to date has raised well in excess of £1,000,000.00 for Children's Charities, and it is a fantastic event continuing to this day, I would encourage every CBA member to take part, raise money for a fantastic cause, build loyalty with customers, and of course, sell more doughnuts to their customers!”
