Career Development in Food Science & Product Development: Zeynep Yagmur Inci

Zeynep is currently studying for an MSc in Food Science and Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, building on an academic background in Nutrition & Dietetics and Culinary Arts.

Alongside studies, Zeynep has gained experience in food safety, sensory analysis, laboratory research, technical documentation, and sustainable product development. Most recently, Zeynep has led technical and process management activities within a university food product development project, helping to develop an upcycled fortified granola product with a focus on sustainability, nutrition, and consumer acceptance.

Previous experience includes research into sustainable nutrition and alternative protein sources, as well as practical work across nutrition, hospitality, and food innovation projects. Zeynep has also developed knowledge of HACCP, UK food legislation, and BRCGS standards.

Zeynep is currently seeking placement or graduate opportunities within the food industry, with a particular interest in product development, food quality, sustainability, and technical roles.
